Course overview

Cyanide poisoning is an occupational hazard for EMS and firefighters. Patient outcome is improved by rapid assessment and administration of an antidote.

This class reviews smoke composition, inhalation type injuries, and the effects of cyanide on the system. Signs and symptoms of cyanide depend on the concentration of the gas and exposure time.
